Community Builder Awards
The Neighborhood Associations of Michigan (NAM) supports community advocacy as one means to positively impact the quality of life in Michigan communities. The NAM Community Builder Awards seek to acknowledge the work of community-based organizations, individuals, and programs whose commitment to community development and service to others is exemplary.The awards will be presented at the Neighborhood Associations of Michigan’s (NAM) Annual Conference.
The NAM Community Builder Awards recognize outstanding community work in the following categories:
NAM Alex Kruzel Leadership Award. This award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated leadership qualities and a commitment to improving the community through their work as a volunteer or staff person for a community based organization.
NAM Community Asset Award. This award recognizes a community-based organization that has provided consistent outstanding advocacy and/or service to their constituency or community.
NAM Innovators Award. This award recognizes a program or service that demonstrates a creative approach to addressing a community need or community problem solving.
1. An individual, organization or program may be nominated. Nominators must clearly indicate the category in which they are nominating. Nominees may be nominated in only one category each year.
2. Each nomination must be typed or printed in ink and submitted on the attached nomination form, a photocopy of the form, or a computer generated exact likeness of the form. No other format will be accepted.
3. Nominators may submit as many individual nominations as desired.
4. Any supporting documentation must accompany the nomination form. Supporting materials may include a letter of support, news clippings, photo, or pamphlet. All supporting material must be presented on 8 1/2” x 11” sheets of paper. No more than three (3) 8 1/2” x 11” sheets (front and back) of supporting materials will be accepted. Do not submit audio or videotapes, display materials, films, or scrapbooks, etc.
